The Savannah Map series is rooted in a love of color and geometric lines. An accurate representation of the city’s streets, famously planned out into a grid system, these works explore color studies against the backdrop of maps. Savannah’s unique grid provides a geometric pattern that has inspired me to meticulously measure and paint each square in it’s own particular color. These works can be seen not just as pieces of art, but reminders of place and the sentimental value that brings.
